EDIT2: Book3 VOL4 Comes out July 29 I repeat JULY 29TH! This sucks...majorly. It needs to come out after the final premieres.

Ok i've heard about the early release of the spoiler book "Sozin's Comet". I plan to get it along with the vol3 DVD. Hopefully tomorrow when i see Speed Racer The mag is supposed to come out on the 20th, but i've also heard that the book is out at some places already. However I WILL NOT spoil anything. So don't ask me. Go out and buy the mag for yourself and support the series.

Now these are my predictions as far as shipping is concerned. As most of you fellow avatar fans knows, I do ship Kataang, however Zutara peaks my interest. I still love Kataang passionately

Now then...In the preview of the rest of the half of avatar S3 with the Zutara hug and the Kataang "almost-there" kiss...The hug is definitely a mutual "thank you so much" hug. I think that this hug will happen in ep 316-Southern Raiders. Katara appreciates that Zuko followed her on that trip to find her mother's killer or the fact that he's helping aang with the firebending, therefore she hugs him out of gratitude. Basically she's thanking him for what he's done for her, sokka, toph, and especially aang. She has a higher respect for him now. If she wanted it to be a more passionate hug, then the hug would have been a softer and gentler hug with lots of caressing. That was a friend hug.

Now then for the kissing scene. As aang was leaning in to kiss her she somewhat looks like she's submitting to it until something hits her....Like she realizes something... and no, not that she loves zuko. But she's afraid for two reasons.

1) Katara is such a sensitive girl. Whenever she sees aang upset or extremely angry and ignite the avatar state, she makes sure to do everything in her power to calm him down. It scares her to see him in the avatar state. Think about the episode 201-The avatar state; she said "...for the people that love you, seeing you in that much rage and pain is really scary." Now some of you may think that she's talking about her and sokka loving aang in a brotherly manner. If that's the case then sokka would have been right there agreeing with her about not forcing aang in the avatar state. Sokka thought that it was best for him to be forced into the avatar state. She's afraid to be in love with someone that holds such devastating power. She's definitely afraid of losing him if she holds such strong feelings for him. So she's trying her best to not love him so much, but only have love for him as a friend.

2) Staying on the topic of losing a loved one. She's afraid of losing him and she cant do anything about it. Like with her mother. Granted that she was young when her mother passed, she loved her mother "hard". Knowing that she wasnt able to help her mother when she needed it the most, tears away at Katara's heart so much. So I'm guessing that Katara thinks that if she doesnt hold such a strong love for aang and if something were to happen again like in the Emerald catacombs, then she wont have a hard time dealing with it. When he kissed her the first time, she's been waiting for that. However she started thinking about why he did it, and she knew that that could have been the last time they would see each other. She possibly had butterflies in her stomach; nervous about the possibilities. She didn't want to feel that way. So after that she tried to preoccupy her mind with other things.

Then in comes the second kiss; a bit less aggressive, much more passionate. She wants to receive his kiss, but then she remembers "dont fall for him, you're just going to get hurt in the end if anything happens to him". She doesnt want to have that feeling where her love for him set in stone. So she's trying her best to it "tone down" to a friendship level. But it's getting harder with him kissing her

Another thing...In the cave of two lovers, she was the one to initiate the kiss. Friends, even best friends, don't kiss on the lips...unless they want to be more than just friends.

The fortuneteller leaves too wide of a gap for any connections. The fortuneteller could have been talking about aang. Seeing as how Sokka said right after "man sometimes i forget what a powerful bender that kid really is." But the teller could have been talking about Zuko. She could have been talking about Haru, or Jonjon (sp?), or Bumi, or hell even Toph! Toph is a damn powerful bender...But of course Nick wouldnt allow something like that to happen

The episode when aang tried not to show his emotions was a bit of a sign. He told her that he realizes his feelings about appa even clearer than before. And that he realized his feelings for her as well. She cried...because she was thankful that he didnt close his heart to her completely and that she would be in a one sided love with him.

The headband....She gets frustrated when she sees him dancing with another girl....COME ON! It's spelled out in black and white people! Another thing...when he said "its just you and me right now", she gave him a look of "ok let's dance like noone's watching. I want you to sweep me off my feet".

-phew!- well thats all i have for right now. Please do come with the comments! ^^ I want some dialog. None of my friends that watch the series understands what im thinking about this show so i want some fellow kataangers and zutarians as well to voice their opinions (in a respectful manner of course.)
